Today, DC and Warner Brothers announced several new JUSTICE LEAGUE details including a synopsis, set visits, and promotional materials!
First off, they released the JUSTICE LEAGUE‘s official plot. Comicbook.com posted the following synopsis:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Notably absent from the plot is any mention of Superman due to his ‘selfless act,’ but we’ll get to see the five other heroes joining forces to fight a much larger threat. BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN definitely opened the DC universe to some powerful forces, so it’ll be exciting to see where they take the story.
Next came two new images of the movie from Comingsoon.net: a logo, shown above, and a concept picture of the next Batmobile (apparently repaired after its run in with Superman).
Finally, IGN is reporting that on a recent set visit, they noticed a refreshingly lighter tone in the scenes they were shown. Without getting into spoilers, Erza Miller’s Flash steals multiple scenes from his superhero counterparts, adding a measure of humor missing from JUSTICE LEAGUE’S predecessor.
All of this spells good news for fans, though we’ll have to wait until November 2017 before we get to see it.
