Universal Pictures releases new poster for HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON: THE HIDDEN WORLD

A new HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON: THE HIDDEN WORLD poster reveals a big surprise, along with news of an upcoming trailer.

Universal Pictures has released a new poster for the final film of the How to Train Your Dragon movie franchise, and it has a wonderful new surprise on it. How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World will introduce a new character to the group – a female Night Fury.

With the new poster comes the official synopsis, which reveals the final challenge may be more of an internal struggle within the friendship between Hiccup and Toothless.

What began as an unlikely friendship between an adolescent Viking and a fearsome Night Fury dragon has become an epic trilogy spanning their lives.  In this next chapter, Hiccup and Toothless will finally discover their true destinies: the village chief as ruler of Berk alongside Astrid, and the dragon as leader of his own kind.  As both ascend, the darkest threat they’ve yet faced—as well as the appearance of a female Night Fury—will test the bonds of their relationship like never before.

For How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, series director Dean DeBlois returns alongside the all-star cast.  The film is produced by Brad Lewis (RatatouilleANTZ) and How to Train Your Dragon series producer Bonnie Arnold (Toy StoryTarzan).

Looks like this movie is looking to give us a bittersweet ending and tug at our hearts.

To add to the excitement, a trailer will be released next week, and the director Dean Deblois will be hosting a Reddit AMA on Thursday, June 7th at 9am PT.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is set to hit theaters March 1, 2019.
