Laini Taylor’s STRANGE THE DREAMER gets a new release date!

Laini Taylor, bestselling author of the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series, has been working on another novel in anticipation of a September 2016 release. Now, however, the publication date for STRANGE THE DREAMER is being pushed back several months.

With a new release date of March 28, 2017, the wait may seem a bit lengthy. Taylor assures us that the delay will be worthwhile, though:

“This story has been nestled in my brain for some twenty years, waiting patiently to be written, and, like a dormant seed suddenly given water and sunlight, it began to grow. And grow. And grow. It’s been incredibly exciting, but also a little terrifying as I tried to keep it at least marginally under my control!

Here’s a whole new world and cast of characters, and it’s taken some time to learn all their secrets and trace the invisible lines of connection and potential—so much potential! I have a dread of rushing the process and missing something I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself for later. So it’s a really big relief to have some breathing room now to do that, and I’m so grateful to my amazing publishers for allowing me the time to nurture the story to its true and final form. I really can’t wait for you to read it. I love it so much, and I’m sorry for the additional months of waiting time but I’m certain that it will be worth it! I hope you agree!”

With her reader’s best interests in mind, it’s hard to fault Taylor for the hold up!
