Nick Jonas joins the cast of CHAOS WALKING

Musician and actor Nick Jonas will be joining Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley in the movie adaptation CHAOS WALKING.

Nick Jonas, one third of the Jonas Brothers music trio, has signed on to play a major character in the movie adaptation of Patrick Ness’s YA dystopian series, Chaos Walking. He’ll be joining Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s Tom Holland and Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘s Daisy Ridley, who’ll be playing the two main protagonists.

Jonas himself will be playing Davy Prentiss, a soldier in Mayor Prentiss’ army, and also a rival of Holland’s character, Todd Hewitt. Mayor Prentiss, who will be played by Hannibal‘s Mads Mikkelsen, is also Davy’s father.

The movie is about a colony in which there are no women and the men are inflicted with The Noise, a virus that forces them to hear everyone else’s thoughts, including other living creatures. When Todd finds an area that is free of The Noise, he is forced to flee from his hometown and comes across Viola, who just might be the key to stopping The Noise.

Although Nick Jonas is well-known for his former band, he has been acting for almost a decade, and his list of credentials including Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Hawaii Five-0, Scream Queens, and Kingdom.

You can see him next in the Jumanji remake Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, starring Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, and Kevin Hart.

Allison Shearmur, Erwin Stoff and Doug Davison are producing Chaos Walking, with Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity) directing, and is set for a March 2019 release.
