Could Norman Reedus be the new Johnny Blaze in a GHOST RIDER reboot?
Marvel may have already plotted out its films through 2019, but that doesn’t mean they’re not working on the next phase already. And if swirling rumors about movie rights have anything to do with it, a Ghost Rider remake may be among them.
But if the movie does come to fruition, who will play motorcycling madman Johnny Blaze?
In an interview with The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus about his new show Ride on AMC, which focuses on motorcycle culture, UpRoxx asked the beloved actor known for his gritty roles about his interest in the role and received a very positive response from the actor.
“Hell yeah,” he said. “It would be a blast. Do I get a skull face that’s on fire and all that stuff? F— yeah. I’m down.”
Reedus also acknowledges Nic Cage’s Ghost Rider films from 2007 and 2011 and says he liked them.
Cage’s Ghost Rider films were made over at Sony and never received much enthusiasm from critics or the comic-loving community, but if anyone could breathe new life into the tale, it’s Marvel’s own filmmakers!
