NYCC Interview: Jenny Boyd & Kaylee Bryant from LEGACIES

Jenny Boyd and Kaylee Bryant tease us about the struggles the twins will face in the new CW series LEGACIES.

If you watched The Vampire Diaries, you may remember the sweet but very powerful twin witches. We first saw them as toddlers eager to help their mom and dad. Now they’re all grown up and facing their own demons and struggles in the upcoming spinoff Legacies.

We sat down with Kaylee Boyd and Jenny Bryant to learn a bit more about their characters and hear just how their past now comes into play now that they’re teenagers. Unfortunately, the girls were rather coy in their response.

They don’t know much about being part of the Gemini coven but I don’t think we can really talk much about it because it’s something that we’re kind of exploring and will be its own storyline later on.

But when Hope comes into the picture and Alaric starts taking her under his wing, things start to become a bit messy. We learn that Lizzie quickly becomes jealous of Hope and despite having never known her psycho uncle, Kai Parker, we know that she will also struggle with bipolar tendencies.

Luckily, she has her sister Josie to help keep her in check but that doesn’t mean that everything is rainbows and butterflies.

I think that thing with the twins is that Hope is so close to their dad that it’s really hard for them to reconcile. For Lizzie anyway, he’s being taken away from her by Hope and I think she really struggles with that.

So, will Lizzie and Josie be Hope’s friend or foe? Or maybe they’re frenemies? Guess we’ll have to wait and find out. Thankfully we won’t have to wait too long.

Legacies premieres this Thursday at 9/8c on The CW
