As New York Comic Con comes to a close, it’s time to take a step back to highlight an experience that happened a bit… off of the beaten trail. For those willing to make the trek downtown, Game of Thrones fans & whisky enthusiasts were treated to an exclusive NYCC Johnnie Walker A Song of Ice and A Song of Fire tasting experience.
Held at the Crossing Art Gallery in Manhattan, visitors sipped on Johnnie Walker A Song of Ice (a crisp and clean whisky best enjoyed over ice) and Johnnie Walker A Song of Fire (a whisky with spicy notes and subtle smoke) along with samples of specialty cocktails.
I really enjoyed learning more about the two new whiskeys and mingling with fellow Game of Thrones fans. The descriptions for both whiskeys are pretty accurate and me personally, I prefer A Song of Ice as it is extremely clean and runs down so smoothly.
And while sampling free whiskeys may have been the highlight of this event, we also got to take photos with the Direwolf & Dragon, which obviously I jumped at the chance to do.
