20th Century Fox just released the official title treatment for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, the movie adaptation of Ransom Riggs’ young adult novel of the same name.  And Ransom tweeted out his love for it.

It does look cool and mysterious and daunting, with the little house surrounded by all the black. And, of course, the peregrine falcon shape of the image. It’s quite lovely.  One thing you may have noticed is that it looks like they’ll be keeping the full title from the novel, as earlier in the development, they mentioned possibly changing the title to Miss Peregrine’s Home of Peculiars.

Either way, in the hands of Tim Burton, this should be especially quirky in that Burton-esque way.

From visionary director Tim Burton, and based upon the best-selling novel, comes an unforgettable, thrilling and haunting tale. Sixteen-year-old Jacob follows clues that take him to a mysterious island, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores the abandoned bedrooms and hallways, he discovers that its former occupants were far more than peculiar; they possessed incredible powers. And they may still be alive.

Miss Peregrine’s Home of Peculiar Children is set to be released on March 4, 2016.
