With the success of Disney’s Frozen, it might be quite a feat for them to come up with something following that’s just as successful. However, this animated film Big Hero 6, based off Marvel’s comic of the same name just might be something new and exciting that people will want to see. Big Hero 6 looks nothing and sounds nothing like Frozen, which I believe is a good thing. There’s no need to try and imitate a previous success, so, in it’s wake is this quirky superhero-wannabe tale that looks cute and funny and most likely has just as much heart as any of the other Disney features. “Big Hero 6″ is a heartfelt comedy adventure about robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who learns to harness his genius—thanks to his brilliant brother Tadashi and their like-minded friends: adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamago, clean freak Wasabi No-Ginger, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred. When a devastating turn of events catapults them into the midst of a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to his closest companion—a cutting-edge robot named Baymax—and transforms the group into a band of high-tech heroes determined to solve the mystery. Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action and all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, “Big Hero 6″
The movie has the voices of Josh Hutcherson, Freddie Highmore, T.J. Miller (as Fred/Fredzilla), Maya Rudolph, Jamie Chung (GoGo Tomago), and Samuel L. Jackson. At this time, it hasn’t been disclosed as to which characters, aside from T.J. Miller and Jamie Chung, the actors will be voicing. I’m speculating that Josh and Freddie will be playing Hiro and Tadashi, respectively.
Big Hero 6 is scheduled to come out in theaters on November 7, 2014.
