The Game of Thrones season finale premiered on Sunday, and we were completely blown away, especially by its score.
Not only did we get some major twists and amazing story developments in the Game of Thrones season finale, we also got some of the best music that the show’s composer, Ramin Djawadi, has ever created.
*WARNING* THIS POST IS DARK AND FULL OF SPOILERS
Game of Thrones is no stranger to a beautiful score, but there was something extraordinarily special about the underlying music playing throughout the King’s Landing storyline. In fact, The Nerdist calls “Light of the Seven,” “a masterful showcase of suspense.”
With Cersei pulling a Mad King and burning down a large portion of King’s Landing and a large part of our cast being killed off, the music needed to be dynamic and moving; it needed to capture the essence of Cersei’s madness and revenge, Tommen’s devastation, and the brutality of The Great Game. Of course, Djawadi succeeded in pulling off all of this.
Luckily, now, you can stream the whole song on Spotify and relive the devastation and beautiful madness yourself!
