Wolverine 3 will feature the leader of the X-Men, according to Patrick Stewart!
When Hugh Jackman returns to the big screen for Wolverine 3, the character’s third solo movie, Professor X will be by his side. In an interview with Collider, Patrick Stewart confirmed that he’ll have a notable role in the last Wolverine standalone film.
“There is a project in development. I understand that Professor Xavier will be making more than an appearance, however, and that intrigues me.”
There are rumors that the film will follow an “Old Man Logan” plot line in which Wolverine mysteriously ages for at least part of the film, settling down with a wife and kids before being called back into action. Stewart wouldn’t confirm or deny, but he said acting alongside an elderly-looking Hugh Jackman would definitely make him feel better.
“And the idea of an old Wolverine – I’m really looking forward to Hugh Jackman getting old. You know, damn him. He looks so great! So I’m hoping to see him covered in prosthetics, you know? And then he’ll make me look better if that’s the case.”
