PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN unveils a legendary cameo to come!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales has added one of the world’s biggest celebrities to its ranks!

Sir Paul McCartney, the globally beloved musician with a career spanning over fifty years, has joined the Pirates franchise starring Johnny Depp in a secret role. Principal production on the film has already wrapped, but Deadline reports that the filmmakers decided to add in an extra scene featuring the artist. Because who doesn’t make a few extra concessions when it means you can have Paul McCartney in your movie, right?

This isn’t the franchise’s first brush with superstardom. In the fourth film, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, The Rolling Stone’s Keith Richards made an appearance as Jack Sparrow’s father after actor Johnny Depp spoke out about modeling his character after the musician.

While this is likely just a cameo, we expect to get some giggles from McCartney’s appearance.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales stars Johnny Depp, Brenton Thwaites, Kaya Scodelario, Geoffrey Rush, and Javier Bardem. It will also feature Orlando Bloom’s return to the series as Will Turner. The film will hit theaters on May 26, 2017.
