Peeta and Snow have one tense face-off in the latest MOCKINGJAY PART 1 deleted scene.
After he’s been captured by The Capitol in the Quarter Quell, Peeta Mellark’s relationship with President Snow is tumultuous at best. In a new deleted scene from THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 1, Peeta and Snow have a very serious “business meeting” just after Peeta’s first address on Capitol TV in which Snow makes it very clear who’s in charge.

Fans cracked a binary code, then unlocked the scene with the hashtag #UnlockMockingjay.
While we very much enjoyed watching these two have a battle of wit and words, we understand why the seen was cut. It almost appears as if Peeta has chosen to work with Snow willingly to end the rebellion, which is certainly not the case in the books. Though he is reluctant and clearly disagrees with Snow, he’s very calm and doesn’t seem too threatened. That is– until the end where Snow alludes to his plans to torture Peeta if he doesn’t play along.
That last line could have been a bit of a spoiler for perceptive non-readers who didn’t see the hijacking twist coming!
Still, we’re thrilled to see this extra look outside Katniss’ world into Peeta’s struggles made it in to the DVD extras!
THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 1 is out on Digital HD tomorrow!
