‘Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters’ Moves Release Date Up

Did you hear the good news?  We’ll get to see Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Grover, and the rest of the Camp Half-Blood one week earlier than originally planned!  Yep, that’s right.   Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters will now open in theaters on August 7th instead of August 16th.

You PJatO fans have already been giving some positive, maybe sometimes cautiously optimistic, comments on this sequel to Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.  Some of you may have even wondered how it’s possible they agreed to go ahead with a second movie, considering that many of you did not like how the first book was adapted, but enough wondering and just accept.  It’s happening, and you’re going to get to see it.

We’ll have the return of actors Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, and Brandon T. Jackson, the three friends on their search for the Golden Fleece this time around.  Jake Abel will also return as Luke Castellan, the demigod that betrayed Percy in the first film.  Joining them are Stanley Tucci, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Head, Leven Rambin, Missi Pyle, Daniel Cudmore, Yvette Nicole Brown, Grey Damon, and Douglas Smith, who will be playing Tyson, a cyclops that Percy befriends.
