Pete And Elliot’s Friendship Flies Free In PETE’S DRAGON Clip

Witness the friendship in PETE’S DRAGON in this new clip!

Disney’s Pete’s Dragon is all about finding where you belong and what matters to you, but it’s also the tale of a very special friendship.

Young Pete was raised in the Pacific Northwest woods by Elliot the dragon. When Pete is found in the woods, the townspeople find it hard to believe his best friend is a dragon. But a new clip is showing us just how Elliot camouflages himself and how close he is with Pete!

The clip was posted by Oh My Disney, who also talked to director David Lowery about Pete’s origin story, the films’ timeline, and the central theme that matches up with the original tale.

Oakes Fegley, the newcomer who plays Pete, also shed some light on exactly what happened to Pete as a child and who Elliot’s friendship saved him from a dark fate.

Pete’s Dragon hits theaters on August 12, 2016.
