Peter Capaldi Leads DOCTOR WHO to its Highest-Rated Season Ever on BBC America

BBC America sees has it highest-rated season ever of Doctor Who with Peter Capaldi’s inaugural showing as the Twelfth Doctor.

People definitely tuned into see Peter Capaldi take over Doctor duties on Doctor Who, as this past season was the highest-rated season ever of the show on BBC America!  The show averaged and impressive 2.035 million viewers in Live+3 this season. The annual Christmas special “Last Christmas” had an equally great turnout with 2.31 million viewers and was the number non-sports telecast on cable in that time period for adults 25-54.

As previously announced, Capaldi will be returning for a the ninth season of Doctor Who, along with Jenna Coleman as companion Clara Oswald.
