Peter Witnesses Captain America’s Mess In SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Deleted Scene

Michelle questions Captain America’s motives in a SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING deleted scene!

Spider-Man: Homecoming certainly didn’t shy away from its newfound Marvel Cinematic Universe connections, but there was one major Marvel movie reference that didn’t make it into the final cut.

In the (clearly unfinished) scene featured above, Peter, Ned, and Michelle drive by the helicarrier wreckage from Captain America: The Winter Soldier on their school trip to Washington, DC. Ned sees heroism in the disaster, but Michelle has some conspiracy theories under her belt instead.

There’s a really good reason why this scene was likely cut: It doesn’t gel with the MCU timeline at all. Spider-Man: Homecoming happens years after Captain America took down the helicarriers at Shield HQ. It’s pretty unrealistic that Damage Control would still be working on clearing out the wreckage years later.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently available in Digital HD and hits DVD on October 17, 2017. You can order it now via Amazon.
