We know he’s busy being a movie star, but he would be so excellent as the cocky “privateer” with charm to spare. Unlike many newer actors, we think he could pull back the characters’ many layers with skill so that we love this secret cinnamon roll as much on screen as we do in novel form.
Austin Butler
Seeing him in The Shannara Chronicles, you can tell he had fun on there with his character, and I think he would have even more fun playing this young man of many talents and unbridled charm. Plus, his naturally blond hair looks right for a Lantsov.
KJ Apa
We already know his natural hair color isn’t orange or red as it’s shown in Riverdale, but we know he can act. His role as the main character in the CW series has garnered him some popular attention, and he did amazingly well in taking over a role on The Hate U Give that had to be reshot with him in it. So, we need someone who can convincingly play a confident privateer/pirate who is also a prince. KJ could be the one.

Okay Katherine frickin Langford is the only person who can and is allowed to play this role. Like no contest. I knew she was in 13 Reasons Why but I never actually saw that show, but I just saw her (for the first time on screen) in Knives Out and she is IT. She’s a freaking goddess and we will not accept less. She’s got the hair! Th body! The beauty! The only thing is too bad her eyes aren’t green but WHATEVER! Blue is close enough or give her contacts! She is Nina end of discussion :)))))))))))
