I think this role was pretty much made for him Keiynan. We’ve admired him on his roles in The Flash and Love, Simon. He has a beautiful smile that can hide the slight mischievousness that Jesper has, and he exudes confidence in who he is, just as Jesper does.
Ashton Sanders
This kid can do it all. He was amazing amazing (yes, twice) in Moonlight and I think he would be amazing as the sharpshooter with a gambling problem and a sweet heart.
Shameik Moore
With big eyes, a mischievous smile, and a rising star, I can absolutely see Shameik as Jesper– Secretive and troubled, yet sly and humorous with a huge heart. Plus, he’s already a big part of the Netflix family thanks to The Get Down and his upcoming role in another Netflix YA adaptation, Let It Snow.

Okay Katherine frickin Langford is the only person who can and is allowed to play this role. Like no contest. I knew she was in 13 Reasons Why but I never actually saw that show, but I just saw her (for the first time on screen) in Knives Out and she is IT. She’s a freaking goddess and we will not accept less. She’s got the hair! Th body! The beauty! The only thing is too bad her eyes aren’t green but WHATEVER! Blue is close enough or give her contacts!
