Promo Image from PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES Is Here

Okay, this really isn’t your mom’s Pride & Prejudice where it’s all about prospects and love and money.  There’s a slightly added twist, which you may have noticed by reading the title.  Pride and Prejudice and Zombies adds just a bit more action for the young folk of this generation have been desiring in any Jane Austen classic.  And it seems this will provide such.

Fighting and killing zombies with weapons and martial arts skills isn’t anything new for the characters in this story. The zombie plague has been around for 70 years by the time Pride and Prejudice and Zombies picks up. It’s just in the meantime they are dealing with marriage prospects and family drama.

Hopefully this will do fair better than Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter did, a movie about President Abraham Lincoln as he battles the night’s children during his presidency.  Obviously, it’s a little different in that it was dealing with a real historical figure, but the idea is the same.

If this does well, who’s to say that we won’t get Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters on the big screen!

The Bennet sisters are played (from left to right) by Ellie Bamber as Lydia, Bella Heathcote as Jane, Lily James as Elizabeth, Millie Brady as Mary, and Suki Waterhouse as Kitty.  The male prospects are Sam Riley as Mr. Darcy, Douglas Booth as Mr. Bingley, Jack Huston as Mr. Wickham, and Matt Smith as Mr. Collins.  Lena Headey and Charles Dance transport themselves from Westeros to grace us with their presence as well.

No exact date has been set for the release of the movie, only that it will be in 2015.
