The first full Daredevil season 2 trailer introduces us to The Punisher

Netflix has released the first official trailer for their hit series Daredevil, in which we are introduced to Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), the man who would be called The Punisher.  And from the looks of this trailer, he is by no means a friend of Matt Murdock’s (Charlie Cox) Daredevil persona.  Still, these are two characters fans love and it’s going to be one hell of a ride in Hell’s Kitchen when the Punisher comes to town to deal out his own version of justice.

Now, if you didn’t catch that last part where we get a brief glimpse of Murdock’s former flame, Elektra Natchios (Élodie Yung), don’t worry about it.  It looks like the Daredevil season 2 trailer part 2 (now there’s a part 2 in trailers, also?!) will conclude with the formal introduction of Elektra as she comes back to Hell’s Kitchen as well, and, dare I say, possibly looking for a favor from the Daredevil.

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.

Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
