THE RAVEN CYCLE Adaptation To Land At SyFy

Universal places THE RAVEN CYCLE adaptation under the care of SyFy!

Back in April, fans first got the news that Maggie Stiefvater‘s The Raven Cycle was in development for television under Universal Cable Productions. Now, more details are starting to emerge!

Executive Producers Andrew Miller (The Secret Circle), Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), Michael London (The Magicians), will be working alongside Maggie Stiefvater, who will serve as Co-Executive Producer. Miller will also be the official showrunner while Hardwicke is set to direct the show’s premiere episode.

On top of that, the show now has a home channel! According to THR, it will air on SyFy alongside The Magicians, The Expanse, the upcoming Hugh Howey adaptation Sand, and more, marking one of the channel’s first real forays in YA adaptation.

Maggie Stiefvater, for one, seems pretty pumped about the big announcement.

The series, like the books, is “about four private school boys and a psychic’s daughter who quest for a sleeping king of Welsh legend in the mountains of Virginia, uncovering ancient magic, powerful dreams, and the devils in themselves.”

Unfortunately, there are still a couple things we definitely don’t know about the show, like who will star or the time frame in which it will premiere. We’ll be on the lookout!
