Here’s a new behind-the-scenes look at the latest Cassanda Clare audiobook!
“Son of the Dawn,” the first novella in Cassandra Clare‘s short story collection Ghosts of the Shadow Market, just came out in print and audio!
Now, USA Today is offering an insider look into the recording of the audio short, narrated by Reilly Dolman from Netflix’s Travelers.
“Son of the Dawn” follows the Lightwood family as they take in orphaned 10-year-old Jace Wayland, much to the concern of young Alec and Isabelle. Meanwhile, their parents Robert and Maryse are a bit distracted by Raphael Santiago’s activities at the Shadow Market. The tales are all told through the eyes of Brother Zachariah (aka James Carstairs.)

Official synopsis:
The Lightwoods, the Shadowhunters who run the New York Institute, are expecting a new addition to their family: the orphaned son of their father’s friend, Jace Wayland. Alec and Isabelle aren’t too sure they want a new brother, and their parents are not assuaging their fears, too occupied with the dark news that Raphael Santiago, second-in-command of the New York vampire clan, has brought from the Shadow Market.
