Season 3 of FEAR THE WALKING DEAD premieres on June 4, but we don’t have to fear cancellation: AMC has already renewed it for season 4, with new showrunners joining the series.
It’s been confirmed that Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg of Once Upon a Time fame are joining Fear the Walking Dead as showrunners! In addition to Chambliss and Goldberg, Scott M. Gimple, executive producer and showrunner of The Walking Dead, will join the show as executive producer. The series previously boasted Dave Erickson as showrunner, but Erickson is exiting the show after season 3 in order to develop new products for AMC Studios.
“We’re very excited to continue the journey of Fear the Walking Dead, and truly look forward to working with the talented team of Andrew Chambliss, Ian Goldberg, and Scott Gimple,” said Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV.
“We are thrilled to be joining Fear the Walking Dead and couldn’t be more excited to work alongside the wonderful team at AMC on this show,” said Chambliss and Goldberg. “We love this universe and are truly honored to have the chance to contribute to it.”
With such a talented crew, Fear the Walking Dead is bound to keep improving after an impressive second season run. To learn about another recent addition to the series, click here.
