Some of you may not even have been born yet, but eighteen years ago, Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring first hit the theaters (and this movie is one of the reasons we still love going to theaters, and we miss them!) It was the start of an epic journey through Middle-Earth (with the sequels The Two Towers and The Return of the King, as well as the follow-up prequel The Hobbit Trilogy) in a way that we haven’t seen before, and we haven’t gotten to see since.
The film had a cast of a handful of familiar faces, including Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Cate Blanchett, Sean Bean (don’t kill him!), Liv Tyler, and Sir Ian McKellen, and a good amount of new or not-so-well-known faces, which basically helped launch their careers into another tier, such as Viggo Mortensen, Dominic Monaghan, , Andy Serkis, and Orlando Bloom.
Josh Gad knows how great those movies are, and through his Reunited Apart web series, got many of the major cast members of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy to appear in this special episode to promote the No Kid Hungry charity, and we couldn’t have been more delighted!
The episode is 50 minutes long and worth every minute, as it’s filled with stories and trivia and just lots and lots of joy. Watch and donate if you can!
