Despite its release date being pushed back to March 2016, Tim Burton is beginning pre-production on his adaptation of Ransom Riggs’ MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN and as rumor has it, he already has a lead in mind.
First Showing reports that Burton wants Asa Butterfield, star of ENDER’S GAME and HUGO, to take on the role of Jacob Portman, who finds himself in an island orphanage filled with children who have superpowers following the mysterious death of his grandfather.
Eva Green has already been cast as the orphanage’s caretaker and story namesake, Miss Peregrine.
Would you be thrilled to see Asa in the role? If not, who else would you like to see play Jacob?
