MOANA Sneak Peek Offers Up First Footage

Demigod Maui goes wild in this MOANA sneak peek!

Disney is planning quite the entertainment spread for 2016. On top of major Marvel and Star Wars releases (both cinematic universes are owned by Disney, in case you missed it), the movie powerhouse will also release eight feature films and three animated features. On the tail end of that schedule is Moana, which will be released during the ever-popular Thanksgiving weekend. It may be a long ways out, but Disney is already giving fans the first Moana sneak peek!

The Disney Channel released the first footage from the film during its continued New Year celebrations. The short clip features a look at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s beloved demigod character, Maui, showing off some serious skill. There’s also a quick bit of Johnson and his co-star, 14-year-old Hawaiian newcomer Auli’i Cravalho, who is voicing Disney’s first Polynesian princess.

Clearly, the two stars are excited for this Disney animated feature to reach audiences!

Moana hits theaters on November 23, 2016.

Official Plot Summary:

A young woman uses her navigational talents to set sail for a fabled island. Joining her on the adventure is her hero, the legendary demi-god Maui.
