SHADOWHUNTERS Casts Luke Baines As Jonathan Morgenstern

Jonathan has a new form on SHADOWHUNTERS!

Despite its cancellation and a fierce fandom campaign to show the show, Shadowhunters still has half a season left to go (for now) and with that comes new casting announcements for a villainous role.

Just before the mid-season rooftop explosion, audiences saw Jonathan Morgenstern come back to life. It seems that Jonathan has shed his cover identity as Sebastian Verlac, portrayed by Will Tudor, and an all-new actor will join the fray as Jonathan!

Luke Baines (The Girl in the Photographs) joins Season 3B as Jonathan’s true form, according to Deadline. It seems that whatever devious deeds he’s up to, he’s taken Clary with him and the others will be on a desperate search to find her.

Currently, Shadowhunters Season 3 is set to return in the spring. The show will end with a 2-hour finale special that the cast is currently filming.
