The cast of SHADOWHUNTERS has some big news for their fans!

The cast of Shadowhunters wasn’t able to make it to the Freeform Upfronts earlier this week as they’re still filming the Season 2 finale, but they brought big news to the fans today via a live Q&A on Facebook live: The show has been renewed for Season 3!

The cast had some fun with a question regarding the show’s renewal, making it seem as if the show hasn’t been picked up before switching gears and announcing the big news.

Shadowhunters Season 3 will include 20 episodes and will likely be released in the same format as Season 2– 10 episodes, a break, and 10 more episodes.

With the rest of Season 2B still hanging in the balance, it’s hard to know how much of the books will be covered in Season 3, nor do we know what original story lines we be included. Still, we can’t wait!

Shadowhunters returns for Season 2B on June 5, 2017.
