The new SHADOWHUNTERS Season 2 promo is downright chilling!

At New York Comic-Con, new Shadowhunters showrunners Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer promised fans a darker, more relationship-driven Season 2, and a new preview is definitely delivering!

This short commercial-length promo cuts out most of the humor we saw in the NYCC trailer and focuses on the nitty-gritty: Valentine’s mission and what it will mean for Jace and his friends.

Freeform has also released several new photos for the premiere episode, “The Guilty Blood,” featuring Simon’s vampire mojo, shirtless Magnus, Alec having a chat with Lydia, and more!

Shadowhunters returns to Freeform on January 2, 2017.

In the season 2 premiere, the Shadow World is in upheaval as Valentine and The Circle continue to grow stronger by the minute, while our Shadowhunter team quickly becomes disillusioned with The Clave and their reaction to the recent events. Loyalties will be tested, unlikely bonds will be made and relationships will be pushed to the limit as the Shadowhunters and their Downworlder friends make their way in a new world.
