Who will Ross Butler portray in DC’s SHAZAM?!

Teen TV show regular Ross Butler has joined his first major studio movie, DC’s Shazam!

Shazam follows Billy Baston (Asher Angel), a boy who can turn into an adult superhero with the powers of the ancient gods (portrayed by Zachary Levi) simply by muttering the word “Shazam!”

Though Variety announced Butler’s addition, they didn’t offer any information as to who he’d be playing in the film. So far, most of the casting announcements have been for the children playing Billy’s friends and while he may play a 16-year-old on 13 Reasons Why, Butler is just shy of 28. Could he be playing a character who befriends adult Shazam? Or perhaps someone working with the film’s villain portrayed by Mark Strong?

We’ll find out when Shazam hits theaters on April 5, 2019.
