BBC One’s Sherlock has also added two guest stars to its roster for its upcoming third season, which is currently in production. I hear that both relative newcomer Ritu Arya and Wendy Wason (Stella) have landed and filmed guest spots on season 3′s second episode The Sign of Three, which was directed by Colm McCarthy. Based on the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock was developed for television by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss and is described as a modern take on the Holmes stories. The drama series focusses on Holmes and Watson as they consult on cases, usually for the Metropolitan Police Service. Sherlock is produced by Hartswood Films and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Mark Gatiss, Rupert Graves and Una Stubbs. The show’s third season, which again comprises 3 feature length episodes, is currently on a scheduled production hiatus, with filming on the final episode expected to commence in late June/early July.
It will be very interesting to see what characters these actresses portray, and how well!
