The Speedforce Gets Freaky In THE FLASH’s Preview For “The Runaway Dinosaur”

The multiverse takes over on the next episode of THE FLASH!

Barry Allen is not dead, folks! But he is stuck in a wild alternate dimension within the Speedforce with a version of Joe. The Speedforce is taking Barry back to the day after his mother died and Joe began his investigation, where he’s faced with some big existential crises. But how can he get back to his universe and defeat Zoom?

Meanwhile, the team is desperately looking for a way to bring Barry back after Cisco vibes his conundrum, but they’ve got another problem: a zombified version of villain Girder has come back from the dead with some serious beef with the STAR Labs team, despite getting a little redemption in his death.

It’s a very quick shot, but at one point just after Barry “wakes up” in the Speedforce, we see him in his childhood bedroom looking at a book with the episode title, “The Runaway Dinosaur.”

This episode was directed by long-time comic fanboy and massive The Flash fan Kevin Smith, who has already revealed that cinematic partner-in-crime Jason Mewes will be making a cameo, so we can’t wait to watch!

With Barry (Grant Gustin) gone, the team must figure out a way to handle the return of an old enemy – Girder (guest star Greg Finley). Realizing Girder is retracing his steps from his last attack, Iris (Candice Patton) volunteers to act as bait to trap him in S.T.A.R. Labs. Meanwhile, Barry fights to return to his old life.
