‘Beasts of No Nation’ star wonder Abraham Attah will be joining the already talented cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Abraham Attah, the 15-year-old young actor that surprised audiences with his talent playing lead character Agu, a boy who is forced to join a mercenary group as a child soldier and led by Idris Elba’s Commandant in Netflix’s Beasts of No Nation, has been cast in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
As with other recent additions to the Spider-Man: Homecoming cast, his role has not be specified, but considering this young man’s impressive performance from Beasts of No Nation, it would be a waste to have him not playing someone significant in this feature film.
Abraham Attah was born in Ghana and was among 30 boys who vied for the part of Agu. Despite not having any acting experience or training, his ability to transform himself into his character surprised many. He was nominated in multiple awards circuits including the Young Artist Awards. He did win the Marcello Mastroianni Award at the Venice Film Festival, the Breakthrough Performance award (with Jacob Tremblay for Room) at the National Board of Review USA, the Best Male Lead at the Independent Spirit Awards, and Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Ghana Movie Awards.
