Meet the secondary villain stirring up trouble in SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING!
When Spider-Man: Homecoming came to San Diego Comic-Con last month, the cast and creators had a lot to say about villains.
First, they confirmed that Michael Keaton will play young Peter Parker’s latest nemesis, The Vulture, and showed a quick glimpse of the character in teaser footage. Then female lead Zendaya told the media that the web-slinger will face multiple villains in the film. Now, the second baddie has been revealed via Deadline!
Michael Chernus has signed on to play Phineas Mason aka The Tinkerer, who creates gadgets and gizmos to help supervillains complete their devious deeds. Of course, he keeps the best of them for himself.
The actor is best known for roles in Orange Is The New Black, Manhattan, and Aloha.
The Vulture made his first appearance in the first The Amazing Spider-Man comic and in a great follow-up, The Tinkerer debuted in The Amazing Spider-Man #2.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing into theaters on July 7, 2017.
