The first SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING movie clip debuts during the MTV Movie Awards and Peter’s identity is revealed.

During the MTV Movie Awards earlier tonight, the first Spider-Man: Homecoming movie clip was released. We’ve seen part of it in the trailers, where Peter Parker’s (Tom Holland) best friend and schoolmate, Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon), finds out that he’s Spider-Man. The clip expands on that scene, showing Peter scaling the walls of his apartment complex to sneak into his room, not realizing that Ned is in there waiting for him.

It segues into other footage, but nothing too revealing, and gives us another look into Zendaya‘s character, another schoolmate of Peter’s named Michelle.

It’s a good first clip for the movie, as it doesn’t give anything away to the main plot of the story, and it teases just the right amount to keep us curious and excited for the movie. You can watch the Twitter version below:

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Spider-Man: Homecoming opens in theaters July 7, 2017.
