Laura Harrier signs on for an important role in FAHRENHEIT 451!

The HBO adaptation of Ray Bradbury‘s classic sci-fi dystopian Fahrenheit 451 has added a recent up-and-comer to its ranks!

Laura Harrier, who started her career on the soap opera One Life To Live and can been seen as Peter Parker’s crush, Liz Allen, in Spider-Man: Homecoming next week, has signed on to play Millie Montag.

Millie is the wife of protagonist Guy Montag, who will be portrayed by Michael B. Jordan. She’s the perfect example of the ignorant, technology-driven society– She struggles to find meaning in her life, but she’s also loves her vapid entertainment and is very frightened by her husband’s curiosity about books. While she’s not quite the antagonist, Millie is definitely an important foil for Guy.

The cast also includes Michael Shannon, Sofia Boutella, and Lilly Singh.

HBO has not announced a premiere date for Fahrenheit 451 quite yet.
