SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING makes a major impression in Hall H!
The cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming and director Jon Watts crashed Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con to unveil some new details from the Sony/Marvel mash-up release coming next summer!
Spider-Man: Homecoming is only 10 days into filming– in fact, the cast flew in from Atlanta yesterday morning and flew back that night to keep shooting,– but Tom Holland and Watts introduced new footage from those shots.
The footage was sadly cut from this video, but these aren’t just the “high school scenes” that Jon Watts mentioned! Those present for the event said it also featured scenes of Peter working on his webs, swinging through the city, and taking on his new enemy!
After the footage, the two were joined on stage briefly by Tom’s co-stars, Jacob Batalan, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, and Zendaya
There was also a major confirmation during the panel: Vulture is officially the movie’s villain! Otherwise known as Adrian Toomes, Vulture is a ruthless killer who uses hi-tech devices and super strength to prey upon his enemies. He’s the second villain Peter Parker ever encountered in the Spider-Man comics.
Check out the Spidey and Vulture concept art for the film.
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
