Paramount Pictures has released a “Shields Up” clip for Star Trek Beyond, and Barco starts its promotion of the movie.

This “Shields Up” clip from Star Trek Beyond may just be the reason you’ll want to watch the movie.  That is, if you were wondering if you should watch the movie.

The sounds, the calmness of the crew as they’re confronted with something they’re not sure of. Then, when you realize that it’s very much not a friendly meeting.  Well, that’s something that we haven’t seen from a Star Trek movie in a while. Just watching the clip gave me that excitement, that thrill of the danger they’re up against, literally crashing into them.  This is it.

This Barco Escape trailer “previews what fans can expect when they watch the film in the new multi-screen, panoramic Barco Escape movie theaters.”

The Barco Escape format will offer fans the opportunity to experience a new kind of Star Trek adventure, with select sequences of Star Trek Beyond footage created by Director Justin Lin and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot team to dramatically expand the Universe across three screens.

You’ll want to watch this trailer on full screen to get the idea of what you’ll be seeing for some of the scenes. With the screen and the Barco audio system, it’s sure to be more immersive than your normal movie watching experience.
