STAR TREK: DISCOVERY is showing off some major Season 2 moments in a new trailer from New York Comic-Con!

The cast and creators of Star Trek: Discovery stormed NYCC on Saturday and with their appearance, they brought along the first trailer for Season 2.

The trailer focuses on Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) trying to track down Spock and discovering more about the Red Angel prophecy, which could either be a great help in Starfleet’s intergalactic adventures or a massive trap. We also see the return of Captain Philippa Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh) and teases of Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike.

It all leads up to the reveal of Young Spock, portrayed by Ethan Peck. He’s sporting shaggy hair and a beard, but he’s also been “lost” in space for quite some time, so it’s entirely possible that he didn’t actually have a shaving kit handy.

Star Trek: Discovery returns to the CBS All Access streaming service on January 17, 2019.
