In surprising news, Disney has announced it will no longer be moving forward with the Boba Fett spinoff movie.

Kathleen Kennedy told a journalist at a Black Panther awards reception that the priority has shifted to the live-action series The Mandalorian that was recently unveiled. For this reason, Lucasfilm will not be proceeding with the Boba Fett spinoff movie at this time.

In fact, Kennedy said the film is “100% dead,” which makes us wonder if it’ll ever happen.

It’s certainly interesting news to come out of Disney/Lucasfilm, and has stirred up curiosity from fans. After Solo failed to deliver in the box office, a slowdown of Star Wars movies seems to be in full force.
