STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Home Release Dates, Special Features

Star Wars: The Force Awakens blew everyone away with its record-breaking theater run that started last December, but soon you’ll be be to bring the film home on Blu-ray or Digital HD!

Disney has confirmed a April 1st release for the film in Digital HD, followed by a Blu-ray release on April 5th. Even better? The home video versions of the films will be jam-packed with special features including a massive making of documentary, deleted scenes, a look at the first cast table read, and more!

Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey – For the first time, discover the complete story behind the making of The Force Awakens, revealed through in-depth footage and exclusive interviews with the actors and filmmakers in this feature documentary.


Here’s what to expect:

The Story Awakens: The Table Read – Cast members familiar and new reflect on the memorable day they all first came together to read the movie’s script.

The DVD and Blu-ray cover designs haven’t been released yet, but Entertainment Weekly, who first reported the details, has a great look at a new photo of Rey on her speeder!
