STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS stirs hilarious controversy in new Honest Trailer!
If you’ve seen one of Screen Junkies‘ Honest Trailers before, you know the format: One sharp-witted voice-over gives a beloved (or perhaps not-so-beloved) film a quick but thorough ribbing. But the Honest Trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is giving us something new!
This time around, two dueling narrators fanboy over the record-breaking film to answer a question that’s been bubbling up since the film’s premiere: Is The Force Awakens too similar to the original Star Wars film, A New Hope? And are fans actually okay with all of those borrowed plot points? The debate is on!
As the review suggests, The Force Awakens does have some pretty heavy-handed similarities to the first Star Wars film. Still, the film still has plenty of original fun to offer fans and beats out much of the blockbuster competition by a long shot!
