Apparently, it’s been a guessing game since the teaser trailer for Star Wars, Episode VII: The Force Awakens was released. And there’ve been many speculations, including the soothing deep voices of Benedict Cumberbatch and Adam Driver.
Granted, they definitely have lovely voices. However, it’s the man who brought Gollum in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and Caesar in the latest Planet of the Apes movies to life that lends his vocal talent to this trailer. Yes, folks, that’s Andy Serkis. Watch the trailer below to see if you can hear him.
Now that you’ve listened, can you tell it’s him now?
It’s hard to notice, especially if you’re only familiar with his work on LOTR and Planet of the Apes. But he can bring to life any character he chooses. And whatever role he plays in Star Wars, I’m sure it’s going to be exceptional, whether he be just the voice of a motion-captured character or CGI character or he himself is on the screen, I doubt I’ll be disappointed.
