The STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS trailer will precede this year’s first major blockbuster!
One major movie franchise release seems to be beckoning to all the others! When THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON hits theaters on May 1st, it will not only feature the first full trailer for THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 2, but the first in-depth look at STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS!
The STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS trailer will be screened prior to May 1st at the Star Wars Celebration convention in Anaheim, CA running from April 16th to April 19th, but the event will be fairly exclusive.
The studio’s main concern may be piracy– AGE OF ULTRON will be released in foreign countries beginning on April 22nd, meaning the trailer could easily leak within that ten day window. We’re guessing that Disney / Lucasfilm will release the trailer online prior to the theater release to avoid that issue. Because an online viewing and a big screen viewing are much, much different, we don’t see the former deterring STAR WARS fans one bit!
