STRANGER THINGS Featurette Puts The Spotlight on Casting

Go behind-the-scenes to see how STRANGER THINGS got that perfect cast!

There’s a lot that goes into making an intense show like Stranger Things, but all of the epic effects and story twists would fall apart without the perfect cast to execute the scenes. That’s why one of the first thing show creators The Duffer Brothers did was hire their casting director, Carmen Cuba, who searched far and wide for the perfect actors.

A new featurette follows the journey to finding the perfect actors (hint: Broadway provided a massive helping hand) and the chemistry between the cast members. There’s plenty of gushing about the awesomeness of the kid actors, who get along famously, but the cast and crew also give plenty of love to David Harbour, who serves at a role model on set, and the 80s icons brought on for Season 2. Unfortunately, the video skips out on the actors playing the show’s teenage characters.

The video is part of the show’s Emmy Consideration campaign, but it’s clear that the cast and crew of the show fangirl about their on-set favorites just as much we audiences do!

Stranger Things is currently filming Season 3 with a slew of new actors joining the ranks, including Maya Hawke, Cary Elwes, and Jake Busey. It’s expected out sometime next year.
