EW also released a small batch of exclusive photos from the film:

In the short teaser article, director David Ayer talked about how the Suicide Squad hopes have changed significantly since he first took on the project, particularly after many fans were less than thrilled with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and turned to the next movie in line to be DC’s shining cinematic moment of 2016.

“Two years ago Suicide Squad was a tertiary [DC property]. No one knew anything about it. It was a cool little playground, and I was going to go make my movie,” Ayer said. “Now it’s like the hype bus. All of the attention has swung onto it, and it has to carry a lot more weight than it was ever intended to. I think it can sustain it. But it’s a lot of pressure. You definitely feel the pressure.”

Hopefully, the pressure will yield impressive results when the Suicide Squad gang crashes into theaters on August 5, 2016.
