BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER alum Emma Caulfield is headed to SUPERGIRL in a sharp new role!
Emma Caulfield will take on the very conflicted role of Cameron Chase, a determined FBI agent with a vendetta.
Here’s the official description from Warner Bros:
“After her father’s violent murder, Cameron Chase decided to dedicate her life to law enforcement. Now a stern, no holds barred FBI agent, Chase’s weapons of choice are manipulation and manpower. With little sympathy, and plenty of suspicions, she pursues her targets with ruthless determination.”
In the comics, Cameron’s father, Acro-Bat, is part of a pre-Supergirl hero group with J’Onn J’Onzz, when he is murdered. J’Onn J’Onzz has already been introduced in the Supergirl universe, so it seems likely that Cameron Chase will be after him when she’s introduced on the January 18th return episode, “Childish Things”.
Additionally, Supergirl executive producer Andrew Kreisberg announced that the show will feature another important character in the second half of the season: Bizarro!
Bizarro is the military’s attempt to clone Supergirl and her powers without Kryptonian DNA, which leads to a pale, twisted version of the heroine with a not-so-moral agenda. It looks like Melissa Benoit will but working double time, but it will be well worth it for the action!
