- Colm Feore (“Chronicles of Riddick”) will play Dr. Francis Dulmacher aka The Dollmaker on the show. No official announcement has been made as to when he’ll be on the show, however, it shows on IMDB that he’ll appear in episode 17, titled “Red Hood.” [source]
- Cinema Blend points out that that’s actor Cameron Monaghan (“The Giver,” “Vampire Academy,” “Shameless”), who will most likely be playing a teenaged version of The Joker, in an effort to make the villain a similar age to the young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz). His name is Jerome on the series, per the episode information available for the installment, the series’s 16th, entitled “The Blind Fortune Teller.” [source]
- Bruno Heller, the showrunner, explains Cameron Monaghan’s role: “He may or may not be The Joker,” he tells THR. “All I can promise is that’s not a bait and switch. It’s a long game we’re playing here.” He continues, “The great fun of this show is that it’s the origin story of these famous characters, and with The Joker, the wonderful thing is that nobody knows where he came from and what his genesis was,” he says. “What I can guarantee is that you have to follow that brilliant young actor Cameron Monaghan down the line, and you will see how this leads to the character we all know and love.” And of Monaghan’s performance, he says, “When the episode is aired, people will see it’s not an imitation of somebody else or an homage to anyone. It’s a performance in and of itself.” [source]
