A new monster and new Hunting teams are explored in SUPERNATURAL’s next episode, “Optimism.”

Okay, let’s go ahead and squee about it right off the bat: AU!Charlie is baaack!

Supernatural‘s “Optimism” focuses on two pairs of Hunting teams. Sam and Charlie make up one, while (a still ailing?) Jack and Dean form another. Charlie and Sam try to track down the cause of disappearances. Will those missing be others from the AU World or strangers? As for Dean and Jack, can Jack prove to arguably the greatest Hunter of all time that, despite not having his powers, he is still a valuable partner out in the field?

WHAT WE DO FOR LOVE – Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Charlie (guest star Felicia Day) team up to get to the bottom of a string of random disappearances. Meanwhile, Jack believes that he has found a case and convinces Dean (Jensen Ackles) to partner-up with him on the hunt. Richard Speight Jr. directed the episode written by Steve Yockey.
